China Trip 10 Days: The Golden Triangle

Your journey through China begins upon arrival in Beijing, where tradition and modernity coexist in perfect harmony. After checking into your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day free to rest, recover from jet lag, or begin experiencing the city’s unique energy.

Today you will enjoy a full-day group excursion to the famous Great Wall of China at the stunning Mutianyu section.

Upon arrival, you’ll ascend the Wall by cable car and have the opportunity to walk several kilometers while admiring panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. For the descent, you can choose between the cable car or a fun slide.

At the end of the visit, you’ll return to central Beijing.

Today you will enjoy a full-day group excursion exploring some of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks.

You will visit Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, before continuing to the magnificent Forbidden City, a former imperial palace renowned for its rich history and impressive architecture.

In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Temple of Heaven, a remarkable religious complex where emperors once prayed for good harvests, surrounded by beautiful gardens and striking traditional design.

Today you'll explore Beijing on your own—here are some places that might interest you:

• Wudaoying Hutong: a historic alleyway in Beijing’s Dongcheng District that blends centuries-old architecture with a modern, creative spirit.
• Summer Palace: A huge imperial garden with lakes, pavilions, and long corridors.
• Houhai Lake: A scenic lake area surrounded by traditional buildings. Nice during sunset or at night when it gets lively.
• Beihai Park: A peaceful park with a lake and a striking white pagoda
• Jingshan Park: Climb the hill for one of the best panoramic views of Beijing.

In the morning, take the train to Xi’an and enjoy the scenery along the way.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Xi’an at your own pace. You can stroll through the Muslim Quarter, full of food stalls, shops and local atmosphere, and visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the city’s best-known landmarks.

Today you will enjoy a full-day group excursion visiting the famous Terracotta Warriors, the remarkable army that has guarded the tomb of China’s first emperor for over two millennia.

In the afternoon, explore the historic Xi’an City Wall, one of the best-preserved ancient walls in the country, offering panoramic views over the city.

In the morning, you will transfer to the train station and board your train to Shanghai, enjoying the journey and the scenic Chinese landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival, you will translate to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure to stroll through the city.

Free Day in Shanghai

Enjoy free time to explore Shanghai at your own pace. We recommend visiting the Yu Garden and the City God Temple, then strolling along Nanjing Road, one of the city’s most popular areas. Continue to the Bund to enjoy views of the Huangpu River, the Pudong skyline and the Oriental Pearl Tower.

To finish the day, you can head to Tianzifang, a neighbourhood filled with small shops, galleries and cafés, perfect for dinner or a drink as you stroll through its streets.

Enjoy a free day in Shanghai, with no scheduled activities, to explore the city at your own pace. You can immerse yourself in Chinese culture at the Shanghai Museum, stroll through Fuxing Park or Century Park to discover everyday life in the city, or spend a fun-filled day at Shanghai Disneyland.

If you'd like to venture beyond the city, you can also choose an optional excursion to Zhujiajiao, a picturesque water town with traditional bridges and canals, or to Suzhou, famous for its classical gardens and ancient canals.
